Sri Kalvakuntla Taraka Rama Rao, Cabinet Minister for IT E&C, MAUD, Industries & Commerce, Mines & Geology, Public Enterprises and NRI Affairs has been representing Sircilla Assembly Constituency since 2009. Sri K.T. Rama Rao was born in Siddipet, Telangana, on July 24, 1976, and grew up in politically and socially active environment. He has completed his schooling from St. George’s Grammar School, Hyderabad. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Microbiology from Nizam College, Hyderabad. He has two post-graduate degrees – M.Sc. in Biotechnology from University of Pune and the other is MBA in Marketing and E-Commerce from Baruch College-City, University of New York, New York
As an IT Minister, Sri K.T. Rama Rao has come up with omniscient vision to cater the multi-dimensional requirements of the IT industry. Several complementary initiatives are launched under his noble leadership to address the needs of the industry.
Sri K.T. Rama Rao is the Brainchild behind all the initiatives to make Golden Telangana: Some of these initiatives are :
T-HUB: Sri K. T. Rama Rao’s vision is to build Hyderabad as the largest centre for startups and entrepreneurship activities in India, called T-HUB. The sole target of this prestigious project is to have Tech Ecosystem in Hyderabad and nurture the young and dynamic people as entrepreneurs. Sri K. T. Rama Rao is aspiring to make Telangana as the most investor-friendly state by providing the required facilities, and by removing the avoidable delays in any new project launch.
TASK: Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge to addresses the problems of unemployment in Telangana. The aim of TASK is to provide / produce enough number of readily employable graduates in Telangana by improving their skills and knowledge. This initiative would bridge the gap between the industry expectations and the available skilllset.
Hy-Fi: Sri K.T. Rama Rao’s another brainchild is to make Hyderabad as the first Wi-Fi enabled city in India, and thus promoting Hyderabad as a Global Lifestyle Destination. Hyderabad being the second largest exporter of IT, this initiative should work as ‘icing on the cake’. With this initiative, IT Minister’s vision is to provide the global information on fingertips to the denizens of Hyderabad.
